Michael graduated from York College of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s of Science in Behavioral Sciences. He spent a year as an Americorp Member working for the Choice Program of UMBC with at risk youth. It was this job that solidified Michael’s drive to work in the human service field. From there he went on to earn his Master’s in Social Work from The University of Maryland School of Social Work. While in school he volunteered with the Baltimore City Special Olympic Ski Team, and had internships at the St. Elizabeth School, and St. Vincent’s Center (now St. Vincent’s Villa). Upon graduation Michael earned his Maryland State Social Work License and began a full time position at St. Vincent’s Center. He has dedicated 10 years of his life working in the human service field, in schools, outpatient programs, residential treatment centers, and in home programs. Michael began his career with Typical Life Corporation as a Behavior Support Specialist in January of 2017. As Associate Director for Day Program Services, he oversees both Images and Abby Factor. Michael hopes to use his years of experience to help improve the lives of all the individuals participating in TLC’s programs. Michael lives in York with his wife and family. He enjoys spending time with family and friends and engaging in outdoor activities such as mountain biking and skiing.
